I love Aero styling is all about the aero companies and ideas that are out there. One of the things that made me love import tuning was taking a car that everyone had and make it look totally different. In Japan, aero parts manufacturing was very common place and almost EVERY car had some kind of dress up for it.

Throughout the years, many of the companies disappeared and what once common to find, have become scarce.

As early as the internet was formed, People have found ways to express their hobbies online. Bulletin boards, yahoo groups, chat rooms, forums, free web pages and early forms of social media.

As time, technology and demographic of car owners change, how it presents itself on the online also changes.

In the late 90s, early 2000s, websites dedicated to car ranged from super basic with reduced graphics to absolute works of visual art. It was amazing to see so many cool websites. As things changed, visual creativity was replaced with common and bland layouts. I want to revisit many of these websites and show them.As with websites, early era internet offered quite a few different types of technology. Things were different with limitations. Something that that are on today's social media don't even feel.

Today's social media isn't bound by speed of the internet (remember 56k modems?) or limited space (free websites only gave you 25 mb). As most people today have cable internet with social media offering unlimited space.

I wanted to pay tribute to many of the car vendors/parts manufactures/tuner parts companies that I've always enjoyed. I decided to do this in an old school web store format. I felt this was a good way to show the parts and make it feel like how it was to see these on an old school online store format. Complete with drop down menu and small images.

The webstore is JUST A VISUAL and NOTHING CAN BE PURCHASED. It is purely for aesthetics and old school online interaction. Many of these companies are still around and some are gone. These were the parts I really looked up to when I was younger. While it is dedicated to old school parts and companies, I will also include some of today's current parts and companies.
